A frozen key

In February of 2019, I went to Mont-Tremblant for a weekend ski-trip with some friends.

When we arrived at the Airbnb the key was frozen under the doormat. We had to use lighters to unfreeze it and get in! Once we got in, we were immediately confused by the heating system, and the host was not responding to any of our questions. When we checked out, we asked the landlord for further instructions and still no answers.

Almost a week later I received a message from the host saying the heating system was turned off and a window was left open leading to frozen pipes in the kitchen. This whole situation could have been avoided with smart devices, better communication, and a true home owner mindset.

Francois graduated from the University of Toronto with an honours degree in Computer Science, and Cognitive Science, and recently completed his Masters of Entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge with a focus in prop tech and real estate.

Francois is the co-founder & CEO of Enso Connect, a hospitality focused startup that was started at the Department of Computer Science Innovation Lab (University of Toronto) as a class project in his final year. Despite a global pandemic, Enso Connect was able to survive and thrive to build the future of travel for the hospitality space.

Francois’ passion for technology and travel is central to his career and desire to create a global community.

Nicolas has spent the last 5 years of his career in the vacation rental industry in technology and consulting. During this time, Nicolas became an expert in vacation rental technology and has built an in-depth understanding of the sector.

Nicolas has helped property management companies to adopt the right technology to deliver the best possible results. As a consultant, Nicolas has collaborated with a number of leading property management businesses and technology providers supporting strategic reviews, competitive analysis, product positioning, M&A transactions, and business development strategies.

Nicolas's focus has always been to help vacation rental businesses improve their processes and build efficiencies, a passion he'll keep pursuing with Enso Connect.
